With the holidays around the corner and the economy in the shape it’s in, we are trying to do everything we can to conserve money. Here are 3 tips you can use to save money on all your retail purchases.

Tip 1

Use a Credit Card with a rewards program. When you shop, be sure to use your credit card that offers rewards such as flights, hotel rooms, cruises, meals, etc. when making a purchase. Most rewards programs give you 1% of your purchases back in rewards (check with you credit card companie’s rewards program). Over time this can add up to that nice vacation you need.

Tip 2

Shop Online. Shopping online at the retail stores you already shop at may save you a considerable amount of money. Often times you can find the same items online at a cheaper price. Many of these stores will even include free shipping (sometimes you must purchase a certain amount usually somewhere between $25-$100).

Tip 3

Online Shopping Networks. Join a shopping portal online such as Aisle19 offering cash back and extra savings on your online puchases. These shopping portals usually have hundreds of stores in their network and will reward you a percentage of you total purchases which vary depending on the stores you buy from. You can probably expect 2.5% cash back at most stores (be sure to check with the shopping portal).
