Have Fun at Home Fingerprinting Your Kids

Of course, just about everyone fingerprints their kids these days but for some parents it can be a problem. Some kids just don’t want their fingerprints taken. Perhaps they were convicts in a prior life or just don’t like then ink on their hands but what ever the reason, it can be a problem.

This is because to get a set of clear, useful fingerprints, it does require the kids cooperation. A struggling, difficult child means weak or smeared prints, which are not what the goal is.

One way to beat this is to first have some fun with fingerprinting with your child before hand. However; you will need a few things such as black paper, talcum powder and wide clear tape before you can get started.

Press your hand on a piece of glass, such as a small hand mirror or a framed picture. Then shake a little of the white talcum powder onto the hand print you created and blow off the excess.

You should be able to vaguely see your hand print now in white. Remove a piece of tape and gently lay it across the while print on the glass and press down. Next, remove it and then stick it on the black piece of paper.

Presto-chango! You should have a nice visible white print clearly visible against the black background that the paper provides.
Now junior will be able to clearly see what the fuss is all about and he or she will want to have more fun with it.

After that if your child isn’t more cooperative you can always try bribing the kid. If that doesn’t work then you my have to wait until there is some type of community organized child fingerprinting drive to take junior to, to have him or her fingerprinted.
