With so much on the news about missing children, should you give consideration to fingerprinting your kids. Also, if you want to have your kids fingerprinted, is there somewhere you can go to have it done or can you simply do it yourself.

Of course you can do it yourself and there are a few ways to go about it. One way is to send off for one of the many fingerprint kits that are available online or simply use an ink pad that you may have available at home.

Have your child stick the entire face of their hand into the ink and do a whole hand print, so each finger can be identified. Also, make sure that the prints are not smeared. Getting too much ink on their hand can be a problem so be aware of that.

Believe it or not, it is parental abductions that are the source for the majority of missing child reports. Its Miss or Mr. Right that ends up turning into a complete psycho that is the usual scenario.

So, make sure that when you make your child’s hand and fingerprints that you keep them tucked away in case “lover boy” or sweet little “honey babe” decides to bolt with the kid.

This is because not only will your “dream boat” want to heist junior, he or she will also want to make off with the fingerprints as well so the kid can’t be identified further down the road.

Remember, eventually junior is going to want to get a drivers license or is going to get picked up for shoplifting if they ran away. When they do, their fingerprints will be ran through the national data base for missing and exploited children.

It may be a few years later but eventually they have to give their fingerprints for something. When this happens not only will you have the satisfaction of having your child back but also its “payback time” for your ex that ran off with the kid.
