The Internet Journey, Our Secret To Success

It all starts with a dream, a DESIRE, if you will.

Let me tell you a story. This story is not so much about the internet, it is about a person. This journey begins about 13 years ago when the internet was in its infancy, for the most part.

Let me take you back! It’s the mid 1990′s. Everywhere you look, people are down on their luck, looking for a better way and taking a chance. They make it big and the next thing you know, they’re selling you their IDEA and telling you how easy it is, and if they can do it, so can you. All you have to do is pay the $10.00 and they’ll show you how. The problem is, if it’s so easy, why isn’t everyone doing it, and if they’re making so much money, why do they need my 10 bucks? This can’t work, “it’s got to be a scam!”. So, I buy into it, “hey, for 10 bucks, maybe I’ll catch a break”. So, a couple of weeks go by and I get the package in the mail. I take a quick look at it and put it down on the bookcase as I’m leaving the house for work. I haven’t seen it since. I don’t know why, I guess it just wasn’t that important to me. You laugh, huh?, I did this kind of thing all the time!

A few years go by, all the hype is about these DotCom Guys and how much money they made on the internet. You know, “the overnight wonders”, I don’t know too much about them other then they were gone just as quick as they got there. I hear rumors they over spent? But now is about the time when every Corporation and Businesses were showing up all over the internet. You know, expanding their MARKET. Makes sense to me, now they could sell their products/service all over the world.

The next thing you know, everyone’s doing business on the internet. It just explodes! Ma & Pa’s Smoke Shop down the corner has a website and they are selling cigars by the case to customers 100′s or 1000′s miles away, heck, they’re probably even using a Drop-ship company to send the products, and they’re raking in the dough. Everyone’s making money on the internet and they all have a PLAN.

Me, well things have changed in my life in the past 13 years. I have a family now, more responsibility and it seems I’m working all the time. I never have time for myself. The only time I get to go out is to a family event or once every couple of months, the wife and I get a night out to dinner. I can’t remember the last time we even went to the movies. Oh, I remember the good old days, but, they are just memories now. Let me ask you a question. Does the person in this story sound like YOU? Yah!, I thought so.

So, this is what I did. I decided that I wanted a piece of my dreams and if everyone was making money on the internet, so could I. I took ACTION, I was determined to find a better way. Almost immediately, I started seeing Free (let me say that again-Free) information all over the internet about starting a home-based business. Well I thought to myself, what kind of product or service do I sell, with today’s technology, hear today and gone tomorrow, where should I start. And then I start seeing things everywhere about becoming an Affiliate (no product and no service to sell), just promoting other peoples websites. Let them sell their products and give me a commission for sending the customers to them. That’s exactly what I did. I even found a place to get my own website (so I didn’t have to learn how to do my own), all I had to do was sign up for 5 Affiliate programs (which I did, 3 of them where free, but the other 2 were a couple bucks but they pay commissions to me every month) and then I advertise (some of that is even free). Pretty good deal! Well every month, I spend a little more (out of my commissions) on advertising and oh-yah!, I quit my job. Now I’m enjoying my life and so is my family. I have some other things going on with the internet now and I’m making money. That’s the bottom line!
