The Basic BBQ Tools

The Basic BBQ Tools

Outdoor BBQ season is coming up fast, and some of the first things we all will need is a few new tools for the grill, the very basic tools, the tongs, forks, and turners. Stainless steel bbq tools are perfect for what we need to do on the grill, and because there stainless you don’t have to worry about them rusting like your old set, I’ve had that happen to me too many times. I’m going to let you know what to look for in a basic 3 tool set.

Tongs, you want nice long tongs, long enough to reach the back of the grill without burning your hand, but not so long that you have trouble with them, you also want to look for the tongs with the teeth at the end, there’s nothing worse than those tongs with the hollow triangles at the end. Lastly like I said before stainless would be best if you want to avoid rusting, and stainless steel will be less flimsy.

Forks, well I don’t like to poke at my meat really just because you will let a lot of the tasty juices run. Forks are handy for a few things though, I like to use them for grilling root vegetables, potatoes, carrots, and even fruits. You want a strong fork that wont bend, its best to get the stainless, if you want to save money and not replace them year after year.

Turners/Flippers, you will want a nice sturdy turner, one that can slide easily under burgers, onions, and any other flat food you may cook on the grill, make sure you get a flipper that wont heat up and burn your hands, and like I mentioned for all the others stainless steel will last, so that’s what I would aim for if I wanted a long lasting basic bbq tool kit.
